The Indian government has given its permission for a Pakistan-India cricket series later this year, Express News reported on Tuesday, quoting Indian media.
The series will take place late December in India.
It was earlier reported that the tour will comprise three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Twenty20s from December 24 to January 5.
This scheduled was sent to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) by its Indian counterparts.
The matches will take place in New Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chennai with Mumbai not chosen as venue with fear of a backlash because of the 2008 attacks.
