Mobile service could be shutdown during Eid al-Adha: Malik

Islamabad: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that mobile service could be shut down for few hours in several parts of the country during Eid al-Adha due to security concern.
Talking to media Tuesday, the interior minister said that the foolproof security arrangement will be made for the Eid al-Adha. He added that the mobile service could be shutdown in few areas of the country due to security concerns.
He said that the banned outfits would not be allowed to collect hides of sacrificial animals forcefully, adding that the provincial authorities had been directed to take strict actions against the outlaws.
The minister said that the government had foiled few terror bids with the help of media. “We have identified and captured few terrorist with the help of video footage provided by the few media organizations.”
He criticized Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N chief and Shahbaz Sharif, the Punjab chief minister, for not accepting the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s verdict in Asghar Khan case. “PPP leaders were dragged in the court in Nawaz Sharif’s era.”
He said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and its leadership respect the judiciary, adding that they had accepted every decision of the courts.
