Click To Know The Name Of Android 6.0
Nowadays, we are living in a world where technology is under a very strict scrutiny and has a lot of public interest. That is the reason why we have even found out a speculation about the name of Android 6.0 version of Google operating system. At this the public release of the Android 5.0 Jelly Bean is looking very far and we have received rumors about the update coming after that one. Previously, we have heard from Google Executives that the public release of Jelly Bean might be arriving in the last quarter of 2012, but that is not the official word right now.
Names Of Sugary Desserts Used
As we already know that Google always adopts names for the builds of Android OS after sugary desserts and previously we have seen Cupcake, Donut, Éclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb and the current Ice Cream Sandwich and the soon to be released Android 5.0 Jelly Bean. As you can see the company also follows the names alphabetically as well, so, we are sure that the next Android version will be starting with the letter K, which will definitely keep Google’s naming convention for Android OS version continued.
Key Lime Pie
So, believe me when I say that there are some actual sources who are claiming to know about the possible future name of the major Android release after Jelly Bean. The report comes from The Verge which states that the same who predicted the Jelly Bean name correctly for Android 5.0 is now claiming that Android 6.0 will be known as Key Lime Pie. Key Lime Pie is definitely a delicious dessert and if Google can name its OS version as Ice Cream Sandwich then I guess everything is possible.
Well, the Key Lime Pie name does not match another rumor posted last year by IndoPost, the rumor suggested that Android 6.0 will be called Kettle Corn, which is a type of pop corn. But we think that Google might go with a sugar snack and that might be the Key Lime Pie. As the current Ice Cream Sandwich version is being abbreviated to ICS I think that Key Lime Pie will also be dubbed as KLP codename for future Android version.
